Mr. Smith serves as an Operating Advisor to IGP and has over 30 years of experience leading industrial businesses.  Mr. Smith partnered with IGP in 2009 to lead O’Brien Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of industrial fluid and gas-handling solutions used primarily in process-based industries, and again in 2019 to lead Aspeq Heating Group, a leading provider of custom-configured electric heating and thermal management products to the industrial, commercial, military, and marine markets.  In both CEO assignments, Mr. Smith drove impressive growth through domestic and international market expansion, aggressive new product development, and strategic add-on acquisitions.  Previously, Mr. Smith held executive positions at AMETEK and MEMC Electronic Materials and was a U.S. Naval Officer before beginning his civilian career.  Mr. Smith received a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and a Master of Science in Industrial Technology from Purdue University.

Mr. Smith has served on the boards of ASPEQ, Integrated Global Services, SPL, and O’Brien Corporation.
